HAPPIFY REFERENCE ROOMCHK-024CONVERSION
CRO and store-health checklist
Run this quarterly, or before spending more on traffic. Most conversion problems are hygiene problems wearing a mystery costume.
01
Speed and stability
- Check Core Web Vitals on your top templates (home, collection, product, cart) — on a mid-range phone, not your laptop.
- Audit installed apps: remove or defer any that load scripts on pages they do nothing for.
- Compress and correctly size hero and collection imagery.
02
Mobile buying path
Most of your revenue walks this path with one thumb.
- Walk from ad or search result to purchase on a real phone; note every hesitation.
- Check tap targets, sticky add-to-cart, and variant selection on small screens.
- Confirm forms use the right keyboards and autocomplete attributes.
03
Product page trust
- Every product answers: what is it, who is it for, why yours, what if it does not fit or work?
- Shipping cost and delivery expectations are visible before checkout.
- Reviews, guarantees, and policies are current and consistent with your terms.
04
Search and merchandising
- Search your own store for your ten best sellers — misspelled. Fix what returns nothing.
- Check collection sort order puts in-stock, high-converting products first.
- Confirm out-of-stock items either hide, back-order clearly, or capture email.
05
Cart and checkout
- Count the steps and fields from cart to paid — remove anything not earning its place.
- Verify discount logic: stacked codes, automatic discounts, and edge cases.
- Test express payment options actually appear for the customers who have them.
06
Tracking honesty
Decisions are only as good as the data underneath them.
- Fire a test purchase and confirm each analytics destination records exactly one conversion.
- Check consent mode is not silently dropping the traffic you optimize against.
- Reconcile platform revenue against analytics revenue for one week; investigate gaps over a few percent.
