Happify Pick List & Low Stock puts every unfulfilled order on one board, oldest first, with the stock each one needs. This guide covers install, settings, each screen and what changes in Shopify.
Version 0.1.0 · Updated 2026-09-24
Happify Pick List & Low Stock is installed from Shopify and billed by Shopify. When you install it, Shopify asks you to approve these permissions. Each one is used only for the reason shown.
| Permission | Why the app needs it |
|---|---|
| read_orders | Import unfulfilled orders for the board, pick list and risk queue, and keep them current from order webhooks. |
| write_orders | Add or remove the workflow tags you choose on orders. |
| write_fulfillments | Create a fulfillment when you click Fulfil on a fully pickable order (Pro). |
| read_products | Product and variant names, SKUs and barcodes for the pick list and scan mode. |
| read_inventory | Available and committed stock for low-stock flags and shortfalls. |
| read_locations | Split the pick list and stock by location. |
Pick List & Low Stock does not store or show buyer contact details. Its order import does not ask Shopify for the buyer’s name, email, phone or addresses, and the board, pick list, print view and CSV show order names, not customers. If another Happify app on your store needs those details they are kept for that app, but this app still does not show them. “Notify customer” on a risk-flagged order reads that order’s email from Shopify at the moment you click, sends the notice and keeps no copy. The app needs Shopify’s protected customer data approval for orders, and for the email field if you use Notify customer.
If the home screen says Shopify has not approved orders or customers access, the open-order queue and pick list stay empty until that approval is in place. Stock levels and thresholds still work.
Tiles at the top show open orders, overdue orders, orders blocked by stock and open order value. Below them is the queue, oldest first.
The pick list totals the units every open order needs per variant, in shelf order, with any shortfall and a per-location breakdown.
On Pro, turn on scan mode and scan items as you pick. Keyboard-style USB or Bluetooth scanners work in any browser. Where the browser supports barcode detection, a camera option appears. Scans match every barcode on the variant first, then the SKU. Checking off is local to your screen and writes nothing to Shopify.
Stock lists variants flagged negative, out or low, with available, committed and remaining units, sales in the last 30 days and velocity. Set a threshold per variant; when there are recent sales a “Suggest” button offers one.
Print opens a plain sheet of the queue and pick list for your browser’s print dialog. History (Pro) shows a 14-day fulfillment trend, average hours to fulfil and a log of settings changes.
In the theme editor, add the “Pending order status” app block to any page to show a heading and message such as “Need help with an order?”. The text is what you type; the block reads no order data.
Prices are in US dollars per month, billed by Shopify. Every plan starts with a 7-day free trial, and you can change or cancel the plan from the app at any time.
