What’s new in Aurel

Shoppable testimonials, cart upgrades and a new spacing scale

Built after the latest packaged version. Not yet in a released version.

• Testimonial quotes can show the product the customer bought. The Aurel product template shows testimonials below the buy box.
• The search panel can show a menu and up to 4 products from a collection before the customer types.
• A discount code field in the cart drawer and on the cart page, applied or removed without a page load.
• Up to 3 recommended products in the cart drawer, each with quick add. You can turn this off.
• Gift wrap can be a paid cart line linked to its item, set in Cart > Gift wrap product.
• A type scale that grows with the screen, a 1440 px page width for the Aurel preset, and named spacing steps from None to Maximum on every section.
• Fixed: labels in the header search dialog and the cart count showed the wrong text.

Live Theme Editor checks for the new spacing settings are still pending.

Stacking lookbook home

Built after the latest packaged version. Not yet in a released version.

• A new Stacking lookbook section: numbered cards that stack as the customer scrolls. With reduced motion, or in browsers without scroll-driven animation, the cards simply stack down the page.
• The Aurel preset home now opens with the slideshow, then the lookbook, the shape bar and new arrivals.
• Slideshow slides can take their photograph from a product.
• The bundled Motion library is removed. Motion now uses browser-native APIs and still respects reduced motion.

Version 1.1.0 · Five presets

• Two new presets, each with its own demo store: Lustre, a pearl specialist, and Charm, personalised and talisman jewellery.
• A charm builder section: pick a chain, add up to five charms, see a live total and add the set to the cart in one step.
• A stack builder section: choose two to four pieces, see them layered, and add the whole stack in one step. Fully usable by keyboard.
• Heirloom’s install defaults now lead with provenance and the archive.
• The sticky product information column only sticks while it fits the window.
• Combined listings are supported in the variant picker.

Version 1.0.0 · Launch version

• Three presets: Aurel bridal atelier, Vow everyday fine jewellery, and Heirloom vintage and estate jewellery and watches.
• Preset installation includes each demo’s template layout and header and footer groups.
• Ring builder, pairing bench, size guide, gemstone shapes, engraving, motion sections and product media support.

Renumbered from 4.0.0 so all eight Happify themes launch at 1.0.0.

Version 3.0.0 · First build on Shopify Skeleton

• Rebuilt on Shopify’s Skeleton theme, replacing the earlier Dawn-based Aurel.
• Three presets: Aurel, Nocturne and Linen.
• Product page zoom, galleries, 3D models and video, swatches, selling plans, pickup availability and a ring size guide.
• Collection and search filtering, cart drawer, predictive search, mega menu, and country and language selectors.

A development build from before the 1.0.0 launch numbering.
